Aperture
Aperture (Photos from Phone- doesn't tell f stop values)
Select one of your images that show a shallow depth of field.
First sign image (with blurry background)
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field?
low f-stop number (ex. 6.3)
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
ISO: 300
WB: Auto
Discuss one of your images that show a large depth of field.
Second sign image
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field?
high f-stop number (ex. 36)
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
ISO: 300
WB: Auto
Which photo is better? Why?
Shallow Depth of field photo, as it emphasizes the sign much more, without a distracting background
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?

Motion:
Select one of your images that show a fast shutter speed.
Dice in the air
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action?
1/125
What action did you freeze? (Describe).
A die and other objects being thrown through the air
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
Fairly close up, straight on
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...)
Rule of thirds (objects aren't centered) very bright different colors
Select one of your images that show a slow shutter speed.
Globe
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action?
1/4
What motion, or part of the image shows blur? (Describe).
Globe spinning
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
Not too close, taken straight on.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...)
A solid line is created going through the center of the globe, and the stationary negative space emphasizes the motion in the globe.
